Level 1 Mediator-Mediation is a process in which an impartial intermediary facilitates a mutually acceptable settlement between or among people in conflict. Individuals and organizations throughout the world have found mediation to be a flexible and constructive means of handling conflict. This seminar presents a step-by-step approach to the mediation process and emphasizes the concepts, strategies and skills effective in resolving conflicts. The seminar includes several simulated mediation exercises in which participants can practice skills learned in the seminar under the supervision of experienced mediators.
Family Mediation Training-This 27-hour Bridge course is further qualifies the mediator to mediate the personal issues of Divorce. While learning the various aspects of Divorce mediation, the participant uses the skills developed in the Level I training, applying them to such difficult issues as parenting issues, financial and property division, power imbalance and domestic abuse issues. The final day of this four day seminar specifically addresses Domestic Abuse as it relates to divorce mediation.
